about.

Harvard Public Health Magazine is dedicated to driving conversations on the most pressing public health issues of our time. To expand its reach and engage a broader audience, the magazine needed a compelling social media campaign that would increase visibility, drive leads, and boost newsletter sign-ups.

challenge.

In an increasingly saturated digital landscape, Harvard Public Health Magazine needed a way to cut through the noise and connect with readers in a meaningful way. The challenge was to create visually engaging ads that not only captured attention but also aligned with the publication’s credibility and authority in the public health space.

To craft an effective and visually striking campaign, I focused on a design approach that balanced clarity, engagement, and brand consistency:

Brand-Driven Design: Leveraged Harvard Public Health’s existing design language to ensure a seamless brand experience across social platforms.

Compelling Visual Hierarchy: Designed ads with strong, clear typography and striking imagery to highlight key public health topics and encourage engagement.

results.

The social media campaign successfully increased audience engagement, drove newsletter subscriptions, and strengthened the magazine’s digital presence. By maintaining brand integrity while optimizing for social media impact, these ads helped reinforce Harvard Public Health Magazine’s role as a trusted voice in public health discourse.

about.

Harvard Public Health Magazine is dedicated to driving conversations on the most pressing public health issues of our time. To expand its reach and engage a broader audience, the magazine needed a compelling social media campaign that would increase visibility, drive leads, and boost newsletter sign-ups.

challenge.

In a patriarchal society that often equates strength with hardness, Soft Femmme sought to create a space where emotion, vulnerability, and softness are seen as powerful. The brand’s visual identity needed to reflect this ethos—delicate yet bold, minimal yet expressive. The challenge was to design a cohesive system that balanced these contrasts while maintaining a strong presence in the fashion space.

To translate Soft Femmme’s philosophy into a compelling visual identity, I developed a design system that embodies both strength and sentimentality:

Intentional Minimalism: Designed a logo and brand elements that are understated yet impactful, reflecting the balance between tenderness and boldness.

Editorial Typography: Chose refined, high-contrast typefaces that exude confidence while maintaining a soft, poetic quality.

Muted & Monochrome Palette: Created a color system that allows the apparel and illustrations to take center stage while reinforcing the brand’s quiet strength.

Illustration-Led Branding: Integrated my hand-drawn illustrations as a central visual element, making each piece feel personal and art-driven.

Curated Photography Direction: Led and directed photo shoots that captured Soft Femmme’s essence—effortlessly raw, intimate, and empowering.

results.

The social media campaign successfully increased audience engagement, drove newsletter subscriptions, and strengthened the magazine’s digital presence. By maintaining brand integrity while optimizing for social media impact, these ads helped reinforce Harvard Public Health Magazine’s role as a trusted voice in public health discourse.
